World War II was a world-wide military war – which started off as two completely separate conflicts. The first conflict began in Asia in 1937 and was called the Second Sino-Japanese War. The other conflict began in Europe in 1939 and began when Germany invaded Poland.
During the early part of the eighteenth century the North American region (also known as the trans-Appalachian region) was untouched and undiscovered until Frenchman from Canada and Englishmen from the surrounding British colonies traveled through and discovered the woods and the great rivers. Yet, there was one group of people who lived there and inhabited those lands – the Native Americans.
